It's not like she's exercising all day. Doesn't sweating help with detox? If it was her second day she still has glycogen stores to give her plenty of energy. Anything more than light or moderate exercise, depending on her level of fitness isn't so bad. As long as she takes it slow. But things will get harder before they get easier. If you feel you are drained after a short time then stop. Shortness of breath? Stop. Dehydrated? Stop. Everyone is ingrained to listen to their body. I find it nice to do some light activity to clear my.mind and get in touch with my body. I love feeling slimmer and the way it feels. Being bed ridden is of course going to lead to muscle atrophy that everyone loves to bring up in these types of conversations. And I don't see anything wrong with engaging the lymph system and circulation during a fast. Isn't it also about increasing oxygen? I find laying down all day more stressful than walking.
