Maybe just if an outbreak occurs then it should be used but I don't know if it will work for sure yet. I'm sure a healthy lifestyle couldn't hurt as well. But I've seen people more stressed out than me and who've had way unhealthier lifestyles than me a ,former college athlete. For example alcoholics and fat people don't have cheilitis. But I have seen a large number of potheads with cheilitis. Maybe the constant burning on the lips and dehydration and lip licking leads to this. But for us I believe the problem is more internal than external which is why I'm skeptical of topical treatment.
