This is very sad news, Wheatgrass was a regular poster on the fasting forums and so I think a lot of people are going to miss him.
I was quite good friends with Yogi but I didn't have any private conversations with him and I didn't know anything about his general health or other treatments that he was using. In one of his last posts he said his longest dry fast had been 48 hours, which is not very long compared to most people on this forum and not usually long enough to cause any concern for a healthy individual which is what I thought he was. I always got the impression he took fasting very steady, taking a long time to increase the length of his fasts and never pushing himself too hard, and always taking time to refeed properly, I always thought he was one of the most experienced and sensible fasters on curezone.
If he had serious underlying health issues then it could be possible the fasting was too much, that would be an area that no-one on here knows anything about I don't think. He did report that he felt he was getting a benefit from the fasting though which is why he carried on.
If you could find out more info about what happened that would be good, if the fasting did cause complications because of his health issues then it would be good to understand them so that future visitors to this forum can be warned.
I have heard of one death of a woman in Africa but she dry fasted for weeks. Usually 3 days is a safe limit and Yogi never fasted for longer than that I don't think.
Rest In Peace Wheatgrass Yogi, you will be missed.
