Thanks Halam! The quote you posted from the TEI report still mentions only retention of potassium as oppposed to loss of potassium and doesn't collerate with our practitioner's advice to me. But maybe the key to understanding the conundrum here might be in the NA/K ratio - ie the connection to changes in advice given regarding potassium loss or retention.
My thyroid ratio has also slightly improved since taking potassium and I can feel it when I don't take it. But overall my adrenals have not caught up indicated by my low NA/K ratio (the only ratio that has worsened)- so still feeling hypothyroid symptoms. My sodium level has gone up but no where as high as yours and your Zinc levels are much higher also. But main difference that I can see is in your improved NA/K ratio(electroyltes) compared to my diminisihing NA/K level. Could this ratio be used by our practitioner to indicate a loss or retention of potassium??? Interestingly, I also noticed your potassium levels are stabalised (hasn't gone up or down)whereas mine have continuted to increase dramatically - could this then be also indciator of when one is retaining or losing potassium?? Anyway, for my next TEI hair analysis I'll be asking for full report also. The ARL HTMA report didn't really give an analysis of my current ratios unfortuately, especially no mention of any of the potassium ratios.
Please keep me posted on feedback you get from the practitioner...i'm intrigued as you probably are also..getting some clarity would be great. Thanks Halam!
