Guys! I think I may be on to something but I hope I didn't screw it up! Ok, so I had two days with very low Body Odor !!! This is HUGE for me because normally it is so bad that people do not want to be near me! I think it has something to do with taking HCL and also with avoiding green veggies (weird, I know). Ok so I've been on the anti-candida diet for about 3 and half weeks (following Ricki Heller's candida diet) and had the die off a few weeks ago. I had no real changes in odor. Then, wondering if I had TMAU, I reduced my choline intake, eating only egg whites, carrots, very small servings of almonds and pumpkin seeds, and root vegetables. I did this for three days and day two and three I had less odor! Customers were getting close to me instead of moving away or leaving the store! But as soon as I opened my mouth, I would get reactions. Now the weird thing is that my breath was still bad. It wasn't at its worst but it was definitely still a problem. Last night I felt happy and adventurous, chalking up my success to taking HCL capsules (which definitely seem to help). So I ate Chinese food (plain fried rice). I also ate a small piece of homemade tilapia. My odor upon waking wasn't horrible (my sense of smell is not good but I can smell my breath occasionally and my urine and I work four days a week and thus observe reactions from customers) but later around 5 pm, I could smell my urine and breath. I believe that what I ate for lunch was the trigger. I had an anti candida soup made of collard greens. Collard greens are high in choline and whenever I eat foods that are very high in choline, my urine smells strongly. I'm not saying this is 100% the problem, in fact I believe I have candida also because after eating the rice I had increased wetness down there (sorry if this is tmi). Perhaps that is why my breath still smelled after the two days of eating lower choline. Still, I will continue my regimen of HCL, probiotics, low choline foods and anti-candida herbs/foods to see if I can achieve longer lasting results. At last, I am hopeful!!! I'm really hoping this wasn't some kind of fluke!
