I am not a MD, so I can not give medical advice. However, I have some suggestion for you. Antibiotics are the worse enemy for someone who experiences an intestinal yeast overgrowth. If he has a serious candida case, he can not be on Antibiotics at least it be extremely necessary. An intestinal yeast overgrowth can be detected with a blood test called Candida Immune Complexes. There is only one lab that do it, Genova Lab. Please, tell your Dr you need he orders this test. Find the way to get this test. IMO, your son should take Nystatin refrigerated powder. Fluconazole don't touch yeast colonies living in the intestinal lumen but Nystatin does.
He needs a proper treatment that targets the lumen. I am sorry he is suffering this way.
Jorge.
