I have pondered the idea of fasting during Lent before, and just never made the full commitment. I have been very blessed in life. I struggle in different areas in life: family, friends, work, health... But that's the beauty if life & the gifts that I recognize are God given. I want to commit to this fast to feel spiritually connected to God during Lenten season. I believe that by getting rid of the things I put in my busy which give me instant gratification ( food, sweets , alcohol ) will take me to the place j desire to be. Is anyone preparing for a similar journey?
