This shouldnt come as any surprise to anybody who's studied govt recommendations on other vitamins or minerals.. Most all nutrients are given suggested dosages of niggardly amounts. Its always the bare minimum.. Just enough to cure scurvy, rickets, beri-beri, and in the case of Iodine - to cure goiter.
