You could also ask them to prove high dose Iodine is dangerous. Quoting that webmd states the safe upper limit is 400mcg does not explain why. Have them back it up with actual scientific data and not just because webmd said so.

Thats as far as I would go because if they are not interested enough in proving its toxic then they arent interested enough to care about or understand your explanation as to why its not toxic.
