This is what I was looking for, by Dr. Brownstein:
4)Iodine induced hypothyroidism & goiter are temporary result from iodine-Dr Brownstein
6)Iodism when the dose is too high...metallic taste in mouth, salivation, sneezing, headache

Confirms what others have posted over & over - Swelling is temporary as the thyroid is getting its fill of iodine.
