Great article,

Chinese traditional medicine used FMT since VI century so is reasonable chinese M. D. are the most open minded about this therapy.

All of the scientific studies about FMT I've read have one critical procedure to ensure a total recovery of the patient: the insertion of the donor's fluid to the mid gut, duodenum or jejunum.

Even more important in Chron's Disease since it can affect every part of the digestive system so my question is:

* How can we find a professional proficient in the use of a nasogastric tube, open minded enough to be willing to do such procedure?

* If such professional is not available how can we do it ourselves? The risk of a nasogastric tube procedure are not to be taken lightly but actually the other only option we patients have is pray and hope that in ten years this therapy becomes accepted.

Please save advices about following Michael Hurst's advice. His system uses enemas and quite a number of them. He has admitted he has ocassional flares of his sickness and cannot assure he's completely symptom free. This, in my opinion is a flawed and inefficient method since the donor's fluid only manages to reach to descending colon no matter how much you lie down and turn over. As gastroenterologists agree the only way for any fluid to reach all part of the small and large intestine is via duodenum. A stomach fluid insertion is not possible either since the gastric juices would kill most of the beneficial flora we are trying to transplant.
