So I had been struggling with peeling chapped lips for a long time and nothing I tried (but vaseline applied religiously) was helping. I had no idea what was going on and it was taking a toll on me, what with me constantly checking my lips in the mirror everywhere I went.
Two days ago I decided to stop using toothpaste, for whatever the reason I forgot but I just brushed with water. The next morning, lots of dead white skin came off my lips and I gently brushed them off. Ever since then I haven't had peeling. My lips have gotten a few dry bits and some small flaking but I can smile without feeling a new tear in my ski, and I drank water yesterday and my lips didn't turn white! I am also battling oral thrush which is what I thought was the problem but it appears not!
I am so happy! I haven't applied any product not even vaseline to my lips for these two days, but tomorrow I have school and will have to go out in the cold so I'll apply them to my lips, and I'll see how the day goes in terms of white skin and peeling. Oh I can't wait to see how that goes!
What are the typical ingredients in toothpaste that may have caused my problem? I used
