If you're getting that amount of calories, that should be enough, but that's if you're really getting that amount. I recommend using one of those nutrition calculating sites to get a better estimate just to be on the safe side. Before I started using those sites I was way high on my estimate of how many cals I was getting.

When you got malaria, was it causing you to eat less? How long did your infection last?
