Someone can be an expert over all and not be right on every single thing. I guess that's true for most anyone. What my daughter said is that the diarrhea is washing out beneficial bacteria, among other things. It was a miserable experience and I don't plan, personally, to go through it again. It certainly didn't make me feel a bit better. But maybe others have different experiences.

Jaffe is also saying to monitor you urine ph and keep it at about 7.2. If I was taking all that AA and not getting horribly acid urine ph, I would be very concerned about what was going on. I would wonder, Is there something in my diet and/or environment that is making me very alkaline?
