you know i love you, aging tree.

each ml of Lugols contains 100ml of KI and 50ml of pure elemental iodine.

this is 5% lugols. the 5% is ONLY about the elemental content.

some vendors take the ten percent KI and the 5% I2 and call it 15% (makes it seem like youre getting more). a true 15% Lugols would have 300mg KI and 150mg of elemental per ml.

then comes the fun part. when measuring iodide, only 3/4 of that substance is actually iodine. the rest is potassium. Lugols is actually 6.25mg per drop (give or take). in that drop there is 2.5mg of elemental and 5mg of Iodide salt. but when Lugol strength is talked about, the amount of Iodine delivered is figured on the Iodine content only. 5mg of KI X .75 (the amount of actual Iodine in the molecule) gives you 3.75mg of iodine in the KI. 2.5 +3.75 = 6.25mg total iodine in a drop of 5% lugols.

12.5mg is the dosage of the iodoral pill. its like two drops of lugols. its why the little pill is scored to break in half, so a single drop of lugols in pill form can be administered. and like lugols, it doesnt count the potassium, just the total iodine content.

its always a risk putting something up your bum. one time a guy on curezone was gonna do an enema using H2O2. he made his calculations and did the enema and ended up in the emergency room bleeding out his ass (more scared than hurt, but still). he had done his calculations based on 3% H2O2, not the 35% food grade peroxide he used. 10 times more oxygen is usually not ten times better, unless youre making fire.

be well, everyone
