Hello - I have another Q for you, please. If I remember correctly you said that you take 50 grams of ascorbic acid per day. I have been experimenting and have gotten up to 20 grams so far with no real trouble. Except that...my urine ph is way, way acidic. The paper is alwlays yellow. I tried for about 6 hours to have no acid forming (in the body, that is) foods, only things like bananas and sprouts, grapefruit, avocados, stuff like that. Not only that I added my Vitamin C powder into water that had apple cider vinegar and lime juice added to it. Those 2 things are supposed to make you more alkaline and I added enough to have a pronounced effect taste wise I have stayed very acidic all day. This has been my experience in the past. The more the ascorbic acid, the more the problems with acid ph and the natural forms like Alive C seem to be even worse.
How did Klenner & others give so much C w/o making horribly acid patients? Maybe IV C doesn't make you acidic? Dr. Levy and some others say you can' take too much C. I am seriously wondering about that.
Then there is a controversy about whether or not acidic urine actually reflects blood ph.
But....urine is somewhat like filtered blood isn't it? Do you know? It is all so confusing! What if this whole "You gotta be alkaline" thing is just about selling books and more of those little ph papers? I mean, really.
So far I feel no worse from being so acidic all day, but in times past I have noticed that I feel better when 7.2 or so.
You say you are in excellent health and I wonder what your urine ph is saying, if you don't mind sharing?
And here's another thought. Dr.Levy says you can't take too much C. But he is a "consultant", i.e. tied in financially, to Livon which sells liposomal C, which he promotes in his vids, though indirectly. I mean he doesn't say "Buy Livon liposomal C" but he says liposomal C is 10 X better than IV C, which I'm not seeing elsewhere in research, and he does bring up Livon in his talks.
Any thoughts and ideas much appreciated.
(Anyone else with any info on this topic, please feel free to chime in also! Thanks.)

P.S. After posting the above I did send an email re acidity and Vitamin C to Dr. Levy's site, but I didn't know when, if ever, I would get an answer. But they sent this link fast.
