"If you pay attention to trends the way I do, it becomes very clear what protocols are helpful and which are harmful. Iodine protocol is absolutely harmful, I don't need to research it, just pay attention to trends the people that have problems"

I've never really paid attention to the Iodine forum, so I can't say whether Iodine is helping people or not, but I agree with what you say about all you have to do to know if a protocol is affective or not is to observe the people attempting that protocol.

This is what led me to research the issue of candida, even though I never had a candida problem. The Candida Forum is one of the most active, but I started noticing that it seemed like very few people in the Candida Forum were actually getting better with all their attempts to "kill off" candida with supplements or pharmaceuticals, or try to "starve" candida with this strict low-carb "anti-candida diets. In fact, it seemed like most were getting worse! I constantly saw people complaining about "die-off", but never seemed like their candida problems was actually dying off.

Part of my interest in looking at cases in the Candida section was I had been misdiagnosed with what I thought I was mostly suffering from for years and when I figured out what was really causing my problems, I healed from it very quickly, so I started wondering how many other people have been misdiagnosed and have been trying to treat themselves for something they don't even have?

Investigating candida more led me to realize that the claims that candida overgrowths go beyond simple candida infections, like oral thrush and genital infections, and can routinely become "chronic" and cause almost every known symptom known to man were absolutely false and what is really causing people's problems was malnutrition mostly due to prolonged calorie-restriction which can weaken a person's immune system and make them more susceptible to infections, such as candida overgrowths, so most protocals they are trying are a futile effort because they are aiming at the wrong dart board (that's if they even have a candida problem to begin with!).

This also led me to look into so-called "adrenal fatigue" more, which multiple alternative practitioners had diagnosed me with, only to soon learn that AF doesn't exist (just ask the medical community) and that, once again, the so-called condition seems to be another misdiagnosis of prolonged calorie-restriction, whether intentional or accidental.

I suspect it's a similar situation with the people in the parasite forum in that most of them have simply misdiagnosed themselves and don't really have parasites and that perfectly explains why so few every seem to get better no matter which anti- parasite protocol they try and why hardly any of them can get parasites confirmed by a legit doctor or lab test. It doesn't mean they are not experiencing health problems, it just means they have gone down the wrong road in trying to heal themselves.

So I agree, all you have to do to tell if a protocol is working is to simply observe the people doing these protocols and if hardly anyone seems to be benefiting from it, then it's a good chance that either the protocol doesn't work, or that people have been misdiagnosed and are trying to treat the wrong problem.

Of course it doesn't help when there are so many alternative doctors and supplement companies too eager to scare sick and desperate people into thinking they have all these exotic or "21st century" illnesses and loading them up on all their expensive "natural" supplements or cleanses.
