No, I don't think L-glutamine will cause direct die off. I also do not have the experience at all that it feeds candida but if I am not mistaken, you can get arguments on both sides of that issue. Like most things, it may be a personal thing. I can say it did not do that with me. One thing I will say here, not because of anything in particular you stated really, but just in general because it is an important point. Not all feelings of toxicity are "die-off", in fact, most are not. Die-off specifically refers to a massive amount of bad organisms dying off at once. People here often say, "I ate x and got die-off an hour later". More likely, you ate something (or took such and such supplement) that is too much for your system to handle at this time and it is causing liver stress or you are getting an allergic reaction or intolerance. In my experience continuing to do so (eat or take the stuff you cannot tolerate thinking that "bad" is "good") WILL keep the candida alive and flourishing. Anything that compromises the body to the point where you feel awful after taking it weakens the system and a weak system is an invitation to candida to take up residence. Some believe (and seems true in my case) that the candida proliferates to protect our organs from damage from the stuff we are doing or taking that is bad for us. For instance, I just discovered a tree nut allergy, and I have been eating tree nuts all along. After giving them up, I seem to have stopped getting candida flares and my liver seems to be normalizing. Even a node on the side of my neck is getting smaller. I figure the constancy of the allergen being ingested caused my lymph system to activate, and now things are calming down. I am not saying all candida is due to an allergen. Just that perhaps, most candida is caused by some kind of stressor on the body, and if (yeah, I know, IF!!) one can figure out what it might be, one can heal.
