Addressing the primary cause of the AF is the bigger issue which I think I cover in that post - immune activation is the probably the major issue especially humoral immune response which would be non-viral things like protozoa, bacteria etc. Toxicity would be another issue such as heavy metals. Many people with the infections report big problems in detoxification so toxins tend to build up. Cell membrane damage due to the high oxidative stress would a consideration as well as liver toxicity due to methylation problems.
