Hi Chris,

Came across your article and I would like to seek some of your advice here. My mom just had her surgery done on the abdominal. The doctor told us that she will need to fast for at least 3-4 days and that inclusive of food & water. She can only take sip by sip for water but on the other hand she's on drip.

The problem now is she's having gastric because of the fasting and it's that normal? I'm afraid that she couldn't stand long for this kind of situation.
