I wondered this too Stephy79. I have had my hormones checked, a few times, and each time I was told I was estrogen dominant which explains my painful periods, severe breast tenderness and insane mood swings around my cycle. I am no longer hypothyroid but I have had a goiter that has been around pretty much my whole life. The swelling in my neck fluctuates a lot ESPECIALLY around my cycle.
Interesting though, until I read brownstein's book I never knew the connection between high estrogen and Iodine deficiency. Clearly I'm both.
