I actually tried this a while back and continued it for about a month or so but it didn't really work. At first it would reduce the odor for about a few hours but nothing else aside from it. The thing about this is that my scalp is healthy looking, no dandruff, no scales, nothing. That's another reason why derms refused to help me.
