One of the reasons the body increases cholestrol is to deal with toxins. Its also elevated to deal with damaged arterial walls when the substances for optimal repair are absent.

Plenty of studies have shown that lowering cholesterol does absolutely nothing to increase lifespan. On the contrary it takes away one of the bodies backup mechanisms for preventing arterial rupture when adequate amounts of vit C, lysine and proline arent available.
