I don't know how good or bad the raw diet is longterm in a controlled environment. Most who eat in abundance on the high-fruit/low-fat raw diet seem to really thrive, but I think the fact it's so hard to do in our modern society that the stress to stay on it outweighs it's potential benefits for most people. But in it's defense, from what I researched about it, by far the main reason I found why so many failed on a raw diet is they under-ate on it. It's also unknown which kind of raw diet US News was judging. Was it more of a fruitarian raw diet like 811, or a high-fat gourmet raw that I do think is a horrible diet under any circumstance except for starvation of course?
Even the cooked low-fat diets can be somewhat difficult in our society where there is so much fats and oils in everything you buy and in almost all restaurant food. You can't really eat out a lot on this diet, but I just want to show people that these high-fat & protein diets are what's killing people, whether they are low-carb diets or S.A.D.
