I used to take SAME, (contraindicated if you are Bipolar) dose suggested is 600mg up to 1200mg, most people see results within2 weeks, I saw results with 800mg first week, then 400mg for maintence. studies show it is as effective or more than Antidepressants. Innositol ($25 month powder by Jarrow) works as well as anxiety medication if 13,000 mg taken daily in divided doses, per Molecular Medicine Journal and my experience (its a b vitamin) Now I just do Medical Qigong, DVD is $350 from Qin Way System, QI Gong online, besides helping me, great testimonial on DVD of a severely depressed person it helped when medicine would not.
