During shower yesterday felt a lump right outer labia, pretty small but sore. Had put it down to ingrown hair or skin break as had been waxed 3 days prior.

8 hours later the mass had doubled and it was noticeable pain without touching. Out came the mirror and light to investigate - alas not what I thought.

Hours of reading later and I was able to connect dots to BC. Never heard of this before and hope to god that I will never hear of it again. (Have nursing background)

Last night I did a hot pack twice before bed and then took one to bed. Today I did Epsom Salts pack with hot pack over the top on and off for about three hours.

There is a head, small amounts of blood coloured discharge appear every now and then.

In my inpatient world I've just raced down the shop to buy more stuff. At moment I have the calamine, tea tree (be very careful if you choose to apply only tea tree - it can burn) and witch hazel.

I am going on a cruise next Saturday. Surgery Is not an option. Coincidentally I'm on ab's already.

It's scorching hot weather here so the idea of warm baths was a no no. I will soak in Epsom Salts bath tonight though.

Someone please tell me that this isn't pointless, that these treatments work and that I will NEVER experience this type of discomfort and pain again !!!!
