You have low serum protiens . The doctor is suggestng ivig treatment which gives your body the antibodies it is not producing. Sometimes people are born with this condition - genetic sometimes it is acquired.People fight to get this treatment - it is very expensive
if your doctor is suggesting it Google IDF, NORD and Immune Deficiceincy. I have a Primary Immunodeficeincy and recieve gamma globulin from donors . I do home SubQ IVig.
