If you are able to fast in a controlled environment, consider a stay at the TrueNorth Health Center in Santa Rosa, CA. I've found stays the past six summers there to be helpful in dealing with severe skin issues and have met other individuals there who have been able to use water-only fasting in dealing with cardiovascular, blood pressure, and diabetic issues.
Individuals who are there are supervised by staff not only in water-only fasting or juice fasting--they must be cleared by the medical staff there for both--but also are given practical information on whole plant food nutrition. The nutrition is considered to be very important to help make the benefits of fasting long-lasting.
