For whatever reason, I cannot reply directly to your original post, but the last response was 100% spot-on.
Writing out your pain and anguish is very valuable and my "caution" against posting details is simply because there have been posts in the past that were so sexually explicit that they read as literary p 0 r n, and there are many disordered people out there who use such recollections as a personal stimulus.
I understand your hesitancy to engage in counseling therapy - I really "get it." But, trauma recovery requires face-to-face validation and interaction and a trained professional can provide that. I'm guessing that your parents did not report the molester to the authorities and just sort of "wished" the event to pass. If I am wrong about this perception, forgive me.
The reason to contact http://www.rainn.org
is for this statistical fact: for every 1 child who reports a molestation, roughly 100 other children have already been molested by that perpetrator. This is a statistical fact. Most children do not even tell their parents or guardians because the perpetrator dumps THEIR shame upon the shoulders of an innocent child. I know this from personal experience, Muru. Shame and guilt are heavy burdens for any child to carry, and children do not deserve these toxic bags.
Again, I wish you the very best as you walk your Healing Path.
