The tests are separate.

Did the doctor ask for you to fast?

Did the doctor specify fasting and for how long?

It sounds like it's post meal or a glucose drink that you consume first. Then, measurement of your glucose and insulin response at specific intervals to check your body's response rate.

Please contact your physician or the office to clarify exactly what you're supposed to do prior to the tests.
