The mucus is just your body's response to fungal candida. Removing it doesn't co9rrect the fungal candida imbalance. It only allows further damage to the tissues.
As long as you have the fungal candida present in your body, it will dictate which bacterial flora colonize the tissues, drive chronic inflammation, damage the tissues, and facilitate the growth of other pathogenic microbes.
Removing easy sources of fuel for candida tends to be one of the factors that causes it to spread. Much like if someone took all of the food out of your house, you'd go shopping.
I find that undecenoic fatty acids are the most effective way to address this. They have been used in treating candida since the introduction of antibiotics in the mid-1940s. Herbs only inhibit candida, not eliminate it.
Skin problems are very much related to fungal candida.
