Hello !

I have several questions.

First of all : i am vegan for about 1 year now. 80 10 10 style. No salt mostly raw.

That led me to health issues. My TSH levels raised on this lifestyle. It used to be 1,3 on my normal (meat, dairy etc diet). Now it is 3,6. It was about 2,5 3 or 6 months into this lifestyle.

I figured it must be coz of the absence of fish, and salt (iodized salt).

SO i did a lot of research and also came across Don Bennett. (vegan).

I started taking Iodoral about 3-4 weeks ago. I started with 12,5 mg and also supplemented with selenium, zinc, vitamin c and magnesium.

I ve added Seasalt /dead Sea Salt back to my diet.

I m avoiding all goitrogenic foods.

At first my body temp. raised from 36,2 to 36,8 pretty fast. (on 12,5 mg for / after about 1-2 weeks. Then it went lower again back to 36,3 approx. I ve doubled the amount of iodoral coz i just thought it was due to too low dosage. But my morning body basal temp. is still only about 36.3...

now i was wondering if my body temp. might only have been high for those 1-2 weeks because i was detoxing ??????

Why is it low now? When will it raise? Is my dosage too low?

btw .... my main Iodine def. symptoms where lumpy, swollen and hurting breasts 1-2 weeks before my period. Another thing was that i felt my ovulation quite good. (well not good but i felt it... i never felt it on the sad-diet).

I have plenty of isues too that would relate to Iodine def. dandruff, raynauds syndrom in winter, weight gain in my tummy-waist area, lower body temp., Acne etc etc etc

So my questions r basically when will my body temp. rise again? why did it only rise for 1-2 weeks? will it raise at all? should it raise? what to do ?

and second question : whats the dosage for long term use (if no cancer etc invovled) ...

does excess Iodine just gets peed out or can u overdose on iodine ?
