Many mercury--Hg toxic folks, especially the autistic kids, benefit from a low gluten, soy, casein diet. Check out the link between the DPP-IV enzyme, mercury and gluten (search the net). Houston enzymes has a digestive enzyme supplement that includes DPP-IV. I'm not suggesting that the supplement will resolve the problem, but it may allow you to "cheat" at special events. This is somewhat like milk intolerant people who take a digestive enzyme for it.
