Salt / sodium needs its counterpart, or partner, potassium.
These two together, in chloride form, water; thats about all you need. To hydrate the water:)

Then comes the taste. I found out along the winding road, that my body was wiser than my brain, and that my palate/ taste buds/ nose whatever its in it; was much better detecting something right or not.. much better than anything else I ever read or heard.
