Some years ago I started with a new dentist who has systematically replaced my filling. A while later I developed Oral Lichen Planus [awful mouth ulcers] but never linked the two. After struggling with special diets and steroid mouthwashes etc.etc. on a continuous basis I have got fed up with it and chatted to the dentist a while ago. He mentioned that he believed there was a connection between mercury Amalgams and OLP. Then I found the report from British Dental Association [for your info http://www.nature.com/bdj/journal/v188/n2/full/4800392a.html]
dated 2000 no less, citing a case study that could be me...After the removal of the Amalgams the problem was resolved.
I am seeing my dentist tomorrow for a serous chat you might say as WHY, if the BDA published this findings, and he [my dentist] was aware of this, has he continued to fill my mouth with Amalgams since...I am staggered..
Anyway, I had toyed with the protect of covering the amalgams with a ceramic crown, but now think I want them out. My memory is rubbish, recall very bad and I am absentminded, I have aches and stuff and having researched for weeks really think mercury has a lot to answer for.

Any one any advice here please? I am pretty concerned over the detox that may happen after the removal.I have read Amalgam Illness by Andrew Cutler book and find it daunting. So do I have to mercury detox? I have arranged hair test for mercury and aluminum levels but can get no help from my doctor.
Sorry about the long windedness of this post.

Thanks
Fuggs
