These are nice scriptures, of course, but weren't they also true for the dozen disciples Paul met in Acts 19:1-6 who had yet to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and who only received this baptism once Paul prayed it for them? It's fortunate (is it not?) for these disciples they were not convinced through misinterpreting a scripture that they already had everything they would ever have in Christ and that He does not have infinitely more for them. As such they were willing and able to receive this Baptism and have their lives as disciples of my Lord Jesus much more immensely transformed as also occurred for the 120 in the upper room in Acts 2:1-4.
Do you believe the scripture that talks about the believer being taken from glory to glory and do you want to take part in this? Are you so sure that this baptism is not an important part of this as it was for the disciples throughout the book of acts including Paul who only received this baptism when another disciple of our Lord laid hands on Him? Do you believe we ever come to a place where God stops giving additional blessings to his faithful and beloved children? I know that He will continue to take me from glory to glory to glory to glory to glory and that as long as i continue surrendering to Him and saying "yes" to Him, these immense blessings are endless. The initial baptism in the Holy Spirit is only the first major breakthrough with many to follow in the life of the true disciple who surrenders all to their Lord. I know because i have lived it and know many other true lovers of my Lord Jesus who have experienced the same.
May all spirits of false religion and rebellion against God in every one of us be broken and may you be wonderfully blessed.
