I just started on the P&B shake protocol. However, today I saw on my Yerba Prima Psyllium Husks Powder bottle, in small print "Warning: This product contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information about Prop 65, see http://www.yerbaprima.com."


This, of course, concerns me a lot since I have thought that Psyllium Husks are completely natural fibers that you can not absorb anyway.... I couldn't find more info on this. Does anybody know what chemical in particular it is? How harmful is it? Is there a way to avoid such a chemical, say, by using organic psyllium husks? And, if there is a difference between whole husks and power (I assume there is less to be absorbed from the whole husks since they are not grounded up)....

A bit confused. Hope someone has insight into this! Thanks!
