for as much Iodine as your taking in, I would think youd benefit from more selenium. Ive seen some docs recommend up to a 1mg per day but not sure I would take it that high, maybe 400-600mcg total.

Without proper doses of selenium Iodine cant do its job and can exacerbate problems. Here is a decent link on importance of selenium.
