I will also add that grain alcohol and essential oils work so well together for this and many scalp conditions because alcohol temporarily opens the pores so the essential oils can get down where the infection is located within the scalp and hair follicle. Then when the alcohol dries almost instantly the oils remain down within the pores so the infection can heal. Otherwise, essential oils would remain on the surface of the scalp and hair and be less effective. Grain alcohol and the essential oils I mentioned are highly antibacterial as well.
