Ive been on and off this site for a few years, I got sick 3 years ago. June 14, 2010... Ill never forget that, everything else I do!! So I had the IUD taken out at 2 in the afternnon, that night at 2am, woke up with uncontrollable seizures... was in ICU for 3 weeks, hospital longer, took me over a year to get back to normal but not reall normal, my memory is shot, lost years of that and I have 2 little boys, 11 and the other will be 9 Friday. I was diagnosed with Epilepsy a year after, they said viral encephalitis was the cause... you know your body, I didn't even have a dr, asked the kids ped for anything. Ive called Bayer, lawyers, written letters, gotten nowhere. I would file any suit and speak out. my life started over at 40 and its been a long 3 years..... I have been trying to come to terms with life because it is what it is but than I just read this book Brain on Fire and finished it in a day, it was reading my life and I feel I was mistreated and could have been helped differently, Im on so many meds.... But back to the beginning. I know the IUD was the cause, I had an infection when it was taken out, was sick the week before. I started researching again today... I don't know where to go from here, but it has to be somewhere!!!!!!!! I didn't get Epilepsy from nowhere at 40 years old, perfectly healthy woman. Nothing in my family and theres no other reason. Some things are not a coincidence!!!
