Yes, and no; if you check your body temp and this is under 37C (98,6F) you are hypo thyroid.

The other symptoms only adds up, showing that the low temperature causes the body to not work optimally or at all.

The brain for instance, works poorly if not a good body temp.
Enzymes too have a very narrow temperature range for working.
The thyroid, all the hormones, digestion etc depend on working enzymes.
