Get to someone who does cataract surgery.  It is the simplest thing in the world - in the right hands.  I had cataracts in both eyes and about six or seven years ago had them removed.  When they remove them these days they replace them with a plastic lens fit to your eyes.  I haven't seen better in fifty years (no glasses - except for reading) since the replacement.  They do them one eye at a time so in case there's a problem they don't blind you.
