Congrats. I would just have your blood levels for vitamin A and zinc tested so you can monitor your progress. But, you need to fast (including no vitamins) before the blood test. It may take several months to restore your levels to normal depending on the level of deficiency. I am still deficient in vitamin D although I have been taking supplements for awhile. The dosage might be too small at 1000 IU (when a deficiency is involved).
