Finally someone that knows exactly what they are talking about. You are the first person that I have found that is explaining exactly what has happened to me and my wife from juicing green vegetables. We are currently on a candida/low oxalic diet as we speak. It all started 9 months ago when we started juicing (cucumber, kale, spinach, granny smith apple, giner, Celery and beet) every morning. It was great at first...my breathing never felt better even cleared my asthma didn't have to take advair anymore. We started craving more raw vegetables throughout the day bought Dr. Andrew Weil's book True Food and started making food from his recipes like raw Kale salad. Then about1.5 months ago my wife got a burning sensation in her mouth that felt like a burning tongue for a couple of days and didn't know what it was from, then I got it and it lasted for us both for a week as we had no clue what it was and when i looked up online i only found burning mouth syndrome that really gives no definitive answer why it is caused. The burning mouth went away and we continued eating even healthier and juicing harder. Then two weeks later I had severe gas/bloating in my stomach and couldn't eat anything it was horrible....I was eating Dr. Weil Immunity soups recipe. It subsided after a week when me and my wife got our burning mouth back and at the same time my wife was getting abdominal pain heavier periods and spotting between periods. I spent days researching all over the internet trying to find answers and finally linked high oxalate diets to thyroid issues, candida and other problems. The more I read the more I became so frustrated. We literally cannot eat anything on a candida & low oxalic diet...it is really frustrating, my mouth and gut have been good for about 3 days now my wife was clear for two days and then came back as she doesn't believe me when i tell her what she can and cannot eat for awhile until this clears up. She went to her doctor the first time we didn't know what it was and he didn't know what could have cause fungus/yeast in mouth and gave her nystatin swoosh. I am taking calcium/magnesium citrate with any food b6 b12 and beleieve it or not I read that 1 teaspoon of baking soda with 1 glass of water a day helps bring your alkilinity levels back to normal and I can tell you the first day after I drank a glass I felt 80% better by the second day I was like 99% better. Do you recommend anything else...I obviously stopped juicing and do not know if I will ever go back. I am really curious to what you recommend as you are the only person after weeks of internet research that hit the nail on the head. Why isn't there more info on this? How could we both be effected we have entirely different gene make up. There must be other people out there that have no idea what is happening to them and most doctors are clueless.
