Yeah - pure gold is too malleable so they would have to be an alloy. Platinum can cause mastocystosis by putting out too much histamine and causing something called platinosis which is really really bad. Nickel is probably in there because it is dirt cheap and used often in alloys. It is genotoxic and cancer causing
