I know how you feel I went for US's every year, I would guess about 4 or 5 years. The only main difference is my stone was 2.8 cm. I realize now that it is too big to come out. My MD says it is ok to live with it, if I feel comfortable with it. So by now it is more than 10 years and I still have the stone. It acts up a few times a year, but when I feel a hint of pain or just a general feeling of getting sick like the flu I take 1 tbs of Epsom Salts and then I am ok again. Every day I take a pinch of ES in my coffee.
My pain is mostly in my shoulders and collar bones. As far as US's my stone went up and down in size, the last time it
was around 3 cm, that might have been around 2007, what was the last time I did an US.

Edit: I changed the size of the stones.
