This is a good, balanced article on soy. It is my opinion based on my research and experience that soy is fine to eat in products but you might get overloaded on it if you take supplements of it.

Lots of the bad stuff you read about soy is promoted by some of agri-business, who know that if more Americans realize how good soy is as a meat substitute and stop eating meat, their business is threatened.
