for what it's worth, I think supplementing with a high-quality Mg (like MgGlycinate) is really beneficial considering all the human biological reactions that involve Mg. Maybe the bugs use Mg to a degree, but we need it to survive & allow our bodies to fight/recover....just my opinion based on my experience
