Hi sorry to hear all of this. First SIBO exists so your pediatrician sounds useless to me (it is a fact that dysbiosis of the gut can exist especially when there is low acid) Your use of zantac is most inappropriate I think because that will neutralise the acidity levels in the small intestine and stomach meaning foods etc are not being sterilised an so enabling bacteria to take up room in the small intestine. The sounds are due to low acide levels, but most doctors prescribe the very antitheisis (ant acids, proton pump inhibitors) often the reson stomach churns is because it is trying to make use of the limited/depleted acid it has and in churning some moves higher up burning the throat. Just check this out. You can get a SIBO test done privately with Biolab in London (not that you should be forced to go private but ignorant doctors who don't keep abreast of developments often force ppl to go private here in the UK)
