In a study, LCN2 was found in the feces of Crohns disease patients. The study looked for proteins found in the feces so it was not just about LCN2. As you know, EC type lips is common in patients with Crohns disease. LCN2 antibodies were found by R&D Systems lab.

I think I struck gold with this article below. Let's get a blood test for LCN2. It is unclear if increased concentration of LCN2 is in blood or restricted to lip tissue in our case since lips seem to be the only affected area.

"Serum LCN2 levels are a general indicator for increased inflammation in the patients with psoriasis."

This may be another possible treatment:

"Those subjects exhibiting elevated levels of lipocalin 2 are deemed suitable for treatment with an IL-17 inhibitor. 750mg/kg to 0. lmg/kg depending on the condition being treated, the route of administration and the age, weight (0. 1% by weight) and condition of the subject."

"The failure to activate L-23/IL-17 pathway in Atopic Dermatitis, even in the presence of bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, that have been shown to be Th17 activators in vitro. The link between IL-17 and antimicrobials has important therapeutic implications for both Psoriasis and Atopic Dermatitis, as frequent and recurrent skin infections may be prevented by modulating the expression of IL-23 or IL-17 signals in the Atopic Dermatitis skin."
